Steven Fisher is the President and Owner of a newly established Design Consultancy in the Greater Seattle area, BN4 Design LLC. Fisher has over 30 years of design experience in Consumer/Industrial Products, Packaging Design, and Product Development. Mr. Fisher recently left a 5-year carrier as Design Director for Accenture where he managed a team of designers / engineers at Accenture Product Innovation Studios in Kirkland WA.

Prior to Accenture Fisher help to build a Packaging Design team at Microsoft. Working closely with the product/marketing team’s Fisher help to transform the packaging to be more experiential, also to simplify and focus on sustainability opportunities for portfolio. Driving efficiencies, increasing quality and building a design language across product categories was my goal. Fisher help to transform the packaging for Surface, Xbox, Windows and Office products.   

Steven Fisher was also a Lead Industrial Designer in the Hardware Group at Microsoft Corp for 10yrs. Steve has been the industrial designer of over 35 products for Microsoft®. Since he started in the Microsoft Hardware group, he has been responsible for the design of Microsoft’s peripheral mice starting with the creation of the first Microsoft Optical Mouse in 1999. He has had a hand in the design process of each mouse from start to finish. For most of his career at Microsoft Fisher has worked on hardware, including remote controls, phones, toys, cameras and keyboards.

Before joining Microsoft, Fisher worked for Walter Dorwin Teague Associates in New York and Fluke Corp. At Teague he was one of eight key designers for the interior of the Boeing 777 and he worked at Boeing Co.’s Advance Product studio from 1987 to 1993.

Fisher is credited for over 90 patents and has won numerous design competitions; awards he’s earned include those from BusinessWeek, the Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA) and the iF International Design Forum, Red Dot and ID Mag. He also has products on display in the permanent collection at the Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum.

Fisher graduated from Western Washington University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Design. In his free time, Fisher volunteer teaches at Western Washington University and the University of Washington in the Senior Industrial Design Program as well as the teaches at the Master’s Program at (GIX) Global International Exchange in Bellevue.
